Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held from 10:30am-12:30pm on the first Saturday of each month in the large upstairs meeting room on Level 2 at the Seattle Public Library – Capitol Hill Branch (425 Harvard Ave. E. – directions). There is free covered parking under the building (enter and exit the garage on Harvard Ave East.) All Seattle Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. At the Capitol Hill branch, there is an elevator that goes from the parking garage to both levels of the library. More info on accessibility at Seattle Public Library. Meeting reminders are sent out via the mailing list and also through our Facebook page.
We are also capable of facilitating a video chat at our discussions, to open participation to a larger group of folks who may not be able to join us in-person. If this interests you (or a long-distance friend), please let Molly B. know and she’ll work on setting that up. Contact Molly at mollycolleen at gmail dot com or leave a comment here or on Facebook and she’ll get back to you right away.
The Meeting Leader for each month is established a few months in advance, and the Leader gets to decide what book we will be discussing when it is their turn. Snacks may be provided on a rotating volunteer basis.
When it’s your turn to facilitate, please come prepared with:
- Brief biography of the author
- Book synopsis
- A few prepared questions to get the discussion going
